VETS FOR ELDERS is guided by a Code of Ethics which states that all materials must be kept confidential. Information will not be released without your consent. Exceptions to this are as follows:
1. Subpoenaed by a court of law to testify in a matter.
2. Revelation that one has intent to harm oneself or someone else.
3. Reason to suspect that one will harm oneself or someone else, either by action or inaction.
If we must testify in court, we will do all that we can to inform you of what we might have to reveal. All staff members of VETS FOR ELDERS are held to this same policy and if it is broken the necessary steps will be taken to discipline that person.
